UCLA doctors testify at Michael Jackson manslaughter trial – Day 5

UCLA emergency doctors confirmed that Dr. Conrad Murray did not mention Propofol to them as their scrambled to save the life of Michael Jackson.
The two doctors at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, where Jackson was taken on June 25, 2009, testified on Monday that Murray failed to tell them he had been giving Jackson propofol, as well as what time he had last administered medication to the 50-year-old entertainer.
Dr. Thao Nguyen, a UCLA cardiologist and Dr. Richelle Cooper, who oversaw Jackson’s care in the emergency room, said Murray only told them he had given the singer two doses of lorazepam.
During cross-examination, Cooper did state that knowing this information may still not have saved Jackson’s life as he was “clinically dead” by the time he had reached the hospital.
Cooper had initially moved to pronounce Jackson dead at his home when she received the radio calls from paramedics on scene.
“Michael Jackson had died long before he became my patient,” she said. “It is unlikely with that information I could have done something that would have changed the outcome.”
Both Cooper and Nguyen said they continued to try to revive Jackson after Dr. Murrray insisted.
Doctors at UCLA described to the court the proper way to administer Propofol, monitoring equipment required and described the frantic attempts to save the King of Pop’s life.
