A coroner’s investigator testified that she found 12 bottles of the anaesthetic propofol in Michael Jackson’s bedroom and an adjacent closet.

Elissa Fleak said ten of the bottles were found in a bag labelled “Baby Essentials” in the closet. She said the anaesthetic and other medication were found during a search of the pop megastar’s rented mansion four days after his death in June 2009.

Two of the bottles were found in the bedroom where MJ died. One of the Propofol bottles found in the room by the nightstand was empty.

Seven pill bottles containing prescription sedatives were found on the nightstand next to the bed where Jackson was sleeping. They included lorazepam, diazepam, temazepam, trazodone, flomax, clonazepam, tizanidine, hydrocodone, lidocaine and benoquin.

Authorities also found … used syringes and needles, as well as a box of unopened hypodermic needles, IV catheters and vials.

Authorities are trying to lay out a case showing Jackson, 50, died after Murray gave him a lethal dose of propofol and other sedatives in the bedroom then delayed calling emergency services while he collected and bagged medicines.

Lead defense lawyer Ed Chernoff seemed to be using the hearing to probe prosecution witnesses for information that could help in a later trial. Judge Pastor him “We’re not on a discovery mission here.”

“Houston, we have a problem,” the judge said, interrupting Chernoff at one point. Chernoff and several members of the defense team are from Houston, Texas.
