Large quantities of Propofol and special cream ordered for a patient being ‘weaned off’

Dr. Conrad Murray claims he was trying to wean Michael Jackson off Propofol but instead he orders 7 liters of the dangerous drug, lies to the pharmacy that it was for a clinic, has it delivered to your girlfriend’s apartment…just does not add up.
The pharmacist, Tim Lopez, who made his own news when he left for Thailand in the weeks leading up to the trial, vanishing without a trace and was tracked by the prosecutors took the stand today. He testified back in January that he had supplied Murray with Propofol before MJ’s death.
The pharmacist first told the court about the special cream Benetril. It was to treat Vitiligo in MJ. The pharmacist he would make the special cream 20 percent. Discussion occurred as to how much could be made. Murray ordered the entire order. He told Murray the circumstances required to reorder.
Murray said he had several clinics and that he would use it on patients overseas.
He came to the office and provided a company cheque for the cream. He also asked the pharmacist to have this always in stock. The cheque was for $1,200.
Murray did not mention this was for Michael Jackson.
Dr. Murray provided details such as his medical office to make order. The office was the Nevada office. His medical license was also provided and a DEA license number. He needed this to obtain drugs. This would have been provided to order Propofol because the special cream did not require these licenses.
The testimony then focused on the Propofol. Murray asked about the availability and pricing of Propofol.
The invoice showed 2 sizes of Propofol. The Benoquin cream was also ordered and saline solution was ordered.
The order also included a FedX charge. It was delivered to his office initially. They attempted to deliver it to the office and upon arrival met Murray at the office. He went through the order. Several bottles were taken out and asked if the rest of the order could be delivered to another office. Murray told them the other office was in Santa Monica.
The FedX receipt was shown. It showed the remaining order was sent to the Santa Monica office. The entire order minus the bottles Murray took out were shipped to the Santa Monica location – which of course turned out to be his girlfriend’s apartment – not an office.
Total Propofol was provided to Murray.
When talking to Murray with the courier he verified that the Propofol would be under Murray’s control and was going to a medical office.
More Propofol was ordered on April 28, 2009. A FedX overnight charge was added. It was shipped to the Sante Monica address again.
Following the lunch break the defense asked about an April 30, 2009 order that Murray placed. This shipment was again shipment to Santa Monica by FebX. Lorazepam and other drugs were contained in this order.
During May, the pharmacist talked to Murray a medication that would assist to eliminate injection site pain. Murray was concerned that the ‘cream’ was too greasy. He agreed and asked if it could be packaged in larger size. He also wanted the package to be nicer. They also discussed energy formulations that would provide an energy boost. He wanted a natural solution for this. It was to be used for wakefulness and energy. The pharmacist agreed to investigate this.
A topic anethestic was also discussed. Emla is a topical anethestic to reduce pain for injection site. It is used to numb the skin when a needle is inserted into the body.
Murray placed an order on May 12, 2009 including more Propofol, Midazolam, Flumazenol, and Lidocaine and FedX again.
Another order on May 14, 2009 was taken for whitening cream. At that time the pharmacist offered to drop off these items at his medical office because he was going into town. Murray told him no and to just have it delivered as usual.
On June 1, 2009 he and Murray again talked about an energy formulation. Murray requested a sample to be sent to him. These were shipped and later ordered June 10, 2009.
On June 10, 2009 Murray placed another order which was again shipped by FedX. This order contained Propofol, Lidocaine, Hydro, Benoquin.
On June 13, 2009 Murray placed another order. Murray also said he was happy with the energy formulation sample and asked about pricing. Lorazepam, Midazolam were on this order along with saline.
Murray never disclosed this was for Michael Jackson.
He talked to Murray on the 23rd or 24th. Murray called him but he could not make out what he was saying. He said he would call him back the next day but did not.
Total number of Propofol shipped were 255 vials.
Propofol was not a controlled substance.
Although regulations do not exist to have Propofol shipped to a hospital, the pharmacist said due to the nature of it he would only have shipped it to a hospital.
Vast amounts of drugs were shipped to a home. Let us know what you think.
