Michael Jackson’s Home Videos

Michael Jackson released home videos that were included in a special. This special allows an exceptionally rare and private glimpse at his private moments. The home movies made from when Michael was a child to a parent, show him carefree and fun loving. It provides the viewer with an understanding of what made him tick. His love for laughter and joking was clear. His love and affection for others jumps out at you.

Through these videos we are provided moments with family, friends, co-workers and finally his children. We watch as he celebrates his first Christmas with Elizabeth Taylor, rocks in the back of his friend’s car (like we have never seen him), jokes on the many sets of his videos, practices his dance moves, runs around playing at Neverland, and jumps with delight when thrown in pools or shot at during water pistol fights.

For all the fun shown, however, we are also provided a glimpse at how some of the activities we take for granted are unheard of experiences for him and to what lengths he must go to in order to experience them (e.g. grocery shopping – one of my favourite).

Although the footage is raw and the focus is often not so great, these you cannot miss. It will offer you the delight of his world and what fun it must have been to experience those special moments of ‘just plain fun’.

It is well worth the watch. Read more
